- The Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Special Communications Requirements (SCR) Division (Code 4.5.11), St. Inigoes, MD, has a requirement for ?Brand Name Mandatory? CHELTON, INC., Satcom Antennas. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334220, ?Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing? with a size standard of 750 employees. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price Contract on a ?Brand Name Mandatory? basis for the Chelton, Inc., product listed below under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 ?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.? Chelton, Inc., located at 1955 Lakeway Drive, Suite 200, Lewisville, TX 75057, is the sole manufacturer of the required equipment that meets the United States Army Special Operations Command Satellite On The Move System and Spares Project. As required, the Chelton antenna will provide robust Multi-band transmission between the ranges of 30-512 MHz. This antenna is also compact which is essential for the prevention of damage to the antenna when weapons are fired. The Chelton antenna, previously fielded, will allow for Configuration Management control and interchangeability within existing Satellite On The Move Systems. Award is anticipated by 26 September 2006. Contract is to be FOB Destination to Receiving Officer, NAWCAD, Building 8115, Villa Road, St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0010, and shall be Marked For (M/F) as specified. Inspection and acceptance shall be made at destination. The DPAS rating for this solicitation is N/A. The ?Brand Name Mandatory? Contract Line Item Number (LIN ) and Description for this procurement are: ** CLIN 0001 - P/N: GD1813P66 Antenna/Multi-band Mobile - (Qty ? 76 Units Ea.). ** THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES FOR ITEMS OTHER THAN THE BRAND NAME CHELTON, INC., EQUIPMENT LISTED IN THIS SYNOPSIS.** The Government will accept quotes from all responsible sources with the capability to provide the brand name product cited above and will award a Contract resulting from this RFP to the responsible vendor whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is considered to be most advantageous to the Government. Quote is due to Rosa Harding, Contract Specialist, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Building 8110, Unit 11, Villa Road, St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0010, by 3:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, 20 September 2006. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a Brand Name Mandatory basis based upon the responses received.
