- The Government intends to extend contract DATM01-02-C-0004 with Test and Experimentation Services Company (TESCO), located at P. O. Box 5400, Fort Hood, Texas 76544, for a period of up to 12 months. The initial 6-month period is from January 1, 2007 through June 30, 2007 pursuant to FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. This clause was included in the contract at time of award. This 6-month extension is not subject to challenge. It is anticipated that the 6-month extension will allow the Govern ment sufficient time to award the competitive procurement of the follow-on contract. However, if more time is required, the Government intends to further extend the contract under the authority of FAR Part 6 for a period not to exceed 6 months, using only such time as is required to finalize and award the new, follow-on contract. TESCO provides non-personal services in support of the U.S. Army Operational Test Commands (OTCs) mission to test and evaluate material being placed in the hands of soldiers in a field environment. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. This is the only notice of the FAR Part 6 possible extension. Any company wishing to challenge such an extension must do so within the next 45 days as set forth in Note 22, whic h is incorporated into this synopsis.
