- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command- Picatinny Arsenal TACOM-Picatinny), Picatinny Center for Contracting and Commerce (PC3) in support of the Armament, Research, Development, and Engineering Center (ARDEC) Acoustic Center of Excellence intends to solicit, negotiate, and award on a sole-source basis to 3D Geophysics for an Enhanced Magnetic Mapping System for Weapons Cache Location, resulting in the delivery of the following hardware: Geonics, Ltd. EM61 Metal Detector, Data Logger Device, Full GPS System, Magnetic Mapping Device, and Cablels or other associated accessories for field use. Contract to 3D Geophysics has been determined to be the best approach for purchase of a custom EM-61 Magnetic Detection and Mapping System, with enhanced capabilities to allow speed of use while in the field. 3D Geophysics is a supplier of integrated magnetic detection and mapping systems which specializes in the acquisition and analysis of geophysical data for geotechnical, engineering, and environmental applications. 3D Geophysics has a complete inventory of the latest geophysical instrumentation. The emphasis at 3D Geophysics is the acquisition and analysis of high quality three-dimensional (3D) images, which is key to the success of ARDEC???s program to supply an improved magnetic cache location system. Properly collected and migrated 3D geophysical data provide the most accurate and highest resolution images of the subsurface. 3D Geophysics maintains a complete suite of the most modern data analysis software. Particular modification to one of these software programs to minimize the soldier???s exposure time in the field is considered a vital capability for this program. Solicitation number W15QKN-06-T-0204 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12 effective 04 August 2006 and Class Deviation 2005-e00001 and DFARS DCN 20060814 Edition. FOB point is Destination ???Bob Wade, Bldg. 407, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806. Delivery is to be within six (6) months after contract award. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: Offerors must include brochures and literature showing their ability to meet all of the Government requirements along with their quotation. Offerors must include copies of commercial price lists indicating the price offered in response to this RFQ. Offerers must also include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items, with its offer. A firm fixed price award will be made to the technically acceptable lowest price offeror. Commercial warranty requirements apply to this acquisition that is consistent with customary commercial practices.
