- Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration, is seeking a contractor to furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment and supplies to perform and complete all work necessary for Gravesite Expansion and Columbarium, Project No. 894CM2032 at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota as required by drawings and specifications. The Government contemplates award of a firm fixed-price construction contract. Early Turnover Area work to be completed within 180 calendar days after Notice to Proceed and overall work to be completed within 730 calendar days. NAICS Code 237990/size standard: $31.0 million. The anticipated cost range is $20,000,000 to $50,000,000. THIS SOLICITATION IS UNRESTRICTED FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. Solicitation will be made available after September 18, 2006. Electronic solicitations are not available. Requests for hard copy drawings and specifications shall be obtained by contacting Dahlgren, Shardlow & Uban, Inc., 300 First Avenue, North, Minneapolis, MN 55401, phone 612-339-3300 or fax 612-337-5601. Bidders will be charged $260.00 non-refundable deposit for each set of drawings and specs. Deposit must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or money order, made payable to "Dahlgren, Shardlow & Uban, Inc.". All requests shall be on company letterhead to include point of contact, physical mailing address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address. The Solicitation material will also be provided to the following sources where paper copies may be reviewed and/or obtained for a fee: MINNEAPOLIS - McGraw Hill Construction Plan Room - Dodge, 1401 Glenwood Avenue North, Minneapolis Builder's Exchange, 1123 Glenwood Avenue; ST. PAUL - Builder's Exchange of St. Paul, 445 Farrinton Street, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates - Plan Room, 2335 West Trunk Highway. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. By registering for the Register to Receive Notification list at http://www.fedbizopps.gov, you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Potential bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging any amendments to the solicitation. A Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit is proposed for October 19, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. central time at the Administration Building, Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Avenue, South, Minneapolis, MN, 55450-1199 (May be subject to change).
