- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) is DLI60431 and incorporates provisions and clauses through FAC 2005-12. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The NAICS Code/Size Standard is 325413/500 Employees. This requirement is being solicited with the intent of negotiating on a sole source basis with Illumina, Inc., San Diego, CA 92121, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is obtaining the following: 1) #WG-30-503 Infinium HumanHap550 Whole-Genome Genotyping Kit (96), 20 each; 2) #WG-30-502 Infinium HumanHap550 Whole-Genome Genotyping Kit (24), 3 each; 3) WG-30-501 Infinium HumanHap550 Whole-Genome Genotyping Kit (8); 4) Shipping/Handling Fees. Illlumina is the only known source capable of providing these genotyping arrays, has the capacity to process in excess of 500,000 snps on one array, and are the only arrays that can be used on the Government owned Illlumina 500GX Infinium platform. Delivery of requested items is to NIEHS, Bldg. 104, 111 TW Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. Offeror should quote any shipping/handling fees. The following provision applies to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors. There are no additional addenda. FAR Clause 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial with offers. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following paragraphs of 52.212-5 apply: (a) and (11)-(16)(21)(22)(25)(27) of (b) and 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal. Defense Priorities and Allocations Systems (DPAS) does not apply.
