- Description
- The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a purchase order on a sole source non-competitive basis to Captiva, 10145 Pacific Heights Blvd, San Diego, CA. FDA will purchase Dispatcher Software and Support for Input Accel Module. The software is for an existing Food Additives Regulatory Management (FARM) system?s custom capture module developed by Captiva. The system has a special configurations to support specially designed capture, indexing, document management, workflow and tracking for Premarket notifications, petitions, GRAS notifications, biotechnology and new consultations, correspondence and EFOI documents storage and search capabilities. The contractor has extensive experience and knowledge of the business processes use at FDA Office of Food Additive Safety. This contractor is critical to the continued development enhancement, and support of the FARM system. Captiva is the only known contractor capable of providing the necessary software and support services required for the FARM system. FDA intends to make an award immediately after the response date of this notice. This is not a request for quotes; however sources may submit descriptive literature, fully documenting their capabilities, which will be considered by the agency. A determination to compete this procurement based on response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The non-competitive award will be made in accordance FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
