Description
NAICS Code: 811219 Maintenance Agreement for Thermo Electron X7-ICP-MS The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), National Enforcement Investigations Center (NEIC) in Denver, Colorado, intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part Thirteen (13), Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Thermo Electron of Madison, Wisconsin. This acquisition will provide a service contract to maintain a Thermo Electron X7 Inductively Coupled Plasma -Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) and New Wave UP 266 Laser Ablation (LA) System. The agreement will include one (1) preventative maintenance visit; unlimited emergency visits with a 72 hour or less response time; consumables; repair parts; and online support resources. Thermo Electron is the only organization with the combination of proprietary knowledge, hardware, and available parts, that is capable of properly servicing the described instruments. No solicitation or Request For Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the EPA requirements described herein may submit a response; which, if received within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the described purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government.
