- General Information Document Type: Solicitation Posted Date: August 25, 2006 Category: Research and Development Set Aside: NA Contracting Office Address Department of Veterans Affairs, Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, Acquisition and Materiel Management Service 90C(B), 10000 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141 Description The Louis Stokes Cleveland VAMC intends to negotiate a commercial SOLE SOURCE contract with the Michael Forney, Stow , OH 44224 on the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is to obtain a service contract to provide expertise in accelerometry data reduction: 1.) Reduce Kinematic, Kinetic, and Accelerometry Data; 2.) analylize all subjects' data; 3.) perform signal processing procedures to determine usefulness of data; 4.) perform statistics to determine usefulness of Accelerometry as a potential control signal for FES Assist Gait Systems for the Research Department at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44106. The period of performance is 9/01/06 thru 3/31/07. CWRU is the only responsible source that can satisfy the governments need. The proposed contract is firm fixed price. The intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all quotes received within 3 days after the publication. Responses are due by 9/5/06 on this special notice. They will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is SOLEY within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered SOLEY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
