- Description
- This solicitation is hereby amended to address vendor questions that have been submitted and to provide the answers to those questions. Question: What is the flow required for the pump? If unknown, it can be deduced from the speed with which the weights are lifted. Answer: The entire 300000 lbf weight stack can be lifted in approximately 5-6 minutes. The pump, however, should be controllable via at least two speeds; at best, completely variable. The lifting ram/cylinder is 18-inches in diameter with an approximate 18-inch stroke for full weight stack lift. This system does operate at low lifting speed by design. Question: What grade of hydraulic oil is required? Answer: The system currently uses Mobil Extra Heavy. The grade shall be extra heavy. It works the best with the existing seal/gland system in use at the rod end. Also note: The current system operates at approximately 1200 psi.
