- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation and the number is VA-261-06-RQ-0010. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit a quote. The NAICS code is 541690 and the SIC size standard is $6.5 million. This requirement is unrestricted. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. The Contractor shall provide all travel, transportation, lodging, meals and incidentals for their instructor and all materials to provide two on-site classes for 70 VA Engineering service employees -35 per session. Classes to be provided September 25 - 27, 2006 and October 11 - 13, 2006. The seminar for health care occupancies outline: general requirements, means of egress - basics, means of egress - design, awareness of means of egress, features of fire protection, special provisions and operating features building rehabilitation business occupancies ambulatory occupancies.  Each seminar participant will receive a student manual, 2006 ed. Life Safety Code, and 2004 ed Alternative Approaches to Life Safety, calculator, and a certificate of attendance.
