- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, FAR Fac 2005-10 Effective 28 July 2006 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. N61128-06-T-0030 is being issued as a Request for Quotation for procurement of new electrical shore power cables located at COMNAVMAR Base, Guam. The new shore power cables will be used at power mounds A3, B1 and B2 to support different classes of ships and submarines. Descriptions are as follows: (a) Straight to 90 Degree Submarine plug with 200 ft of THOF-500E Cable (Complete Shore Power Cable Assembly), 16 ea.; (b) Straight to 90 Degree submarine plug with 250 ft of THOF-500E Cable (Complete shore power cable assembly), 16 ea. ; (c) Straight to straight plug with 280 ft of THOF-500E cable (Complete Power Assembly), 10 ea. Prospective bidders shall comply with the following standards: MIL-C-24368/1 (Straight Plug), MIL-C-24368/5 (90 degree Plug), QPL-24368-23 (Qualified Products List), DOD-STD-2003-2 (Electric Plant Installation Methods for Surface Ships and Submarines). The performance period for this requrement including shipping shall be three (3) months commencing at the time of award of the contract. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors- Commerial Items, 52.212-3 Oferrors Representations and Certifications, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions, 52.214-6 Explanations to Prospective Bidders, 52.214-7 Late Submissions, Modifications and Witdrawal of Bids. No bidders mailing list will be maintained. Offers must be submitted on the Standard Form 1449 and must include the items listed in FAR Clause 52.212-3- Offeror Representations and Certifications- Commercial Items. This clause may be viewed at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. Prospective offerors are encourage to register in ORCA at http://orca.bpn.gov/ Any questions concerning this solicitation MUST be submitted in writing (fax or email) to the Point of Contact listed above. Offers must be received no later than the anticipated due date of 11 August 2006 @ 4:00PM Guam Time. Offers must be sent by fax or email only. The Government contemplates award of a Firm-Fixed Price Contract resulting from this solicitation. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (01-AUG-2006).
