- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the Format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Reference Number N4223762182100 is issued as a request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. This solicitation is Unrestricted. NAICS 333298. The Port Ops Department, Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Georgia requires the following item. Slickreel Boom Reel System to accommodate 1000 feet of MK 8 24 inch style containment boom (boom not included), diesel/hydraulic power pack, required hoses, fabric cover and operational manuals. Each boom reel is manufactured with a solid aluminum core and flange 102 inches diameter by 192 inches long, marine grade steel frame, and manual outrigger stabilizer arms. The reel has a manual brake, speed control and free wheel valve. Must be compatible with Slickbar Boom. It is the Government?s intent to award on a Sole Source Basis to the manufacture, Slickbar.
