- Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source purchase to Bruker Biospin, 15 Fortune Drive, Manning Park, Billerica, MA for the purchase of a Gradient Current Amplifier Upgrade to GREAT 3/60 for AVANCE 400WB NMR System. Bruker Biospin is the only source that can meet specifications to be compatible with an existing system. Bruker Biospin has the only machine that will function with our Micro2.5 gradient coil. The GREAT 3/60 upgrade is the only machine that w ill communicate with the existing AVANCE 400WB hardware. Hardware upgrades and/or installation by a third party vendor will invalidate current and future service contracts. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract price based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
