FedBizOps Ad Template This Federal Business Opportunity Announcement is notice the Tri-Service Regional Business Office (TRBO) Regions 6, 7 & 8 which includes 46 Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) in the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Missour i, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming is initiating the standardization process for the product line of OR Standard and Custom Packs. The intent of this standardization is to establish regionally pr eferred sources for hospital supply items and to standardize purchasing of these products for the MTFs. Clinical Product Team (CPTs) composed of healthcare workers who have expertise and knowledge of the products, will evaluate this product line. They wil l review and technically evaluate the products submitted. Their recommendation can be accomplished by literature review, presentation, demonstration or clinical evaluation. Suppliers may be required to provide clinical samples at no cost to the government for the evaluation. Review the DMMonline website @ https: //dmmonline.dscp.dla.mil/standardization to learn more about the Regional Standardization Program. Vendors interested in having their products evaluated for possible inclusion in the standardizatio n process should carefully review the stated requirements below. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS for OR Standard Packs include, but are not limited to: 1. Company provides a full product line that encompasses all surgical specialties and subspecialties. 2. Packs maintain integrity and durability. 3. Packs resist tears and punctures. 4. Components are free from stains and abrasions. 5. Components are low or non-linting/free of toxic ingredients. 6. Components are of acceptable quality level (free from holes and defects). 7. Components must be single use items. 8. Gowns must be safe, comfortable, in various sizes and easily identifiable. 9. Impervious gowns must meet ASTM 1670/1671 standards. 10. All gowns and draping material must meet NFPA Class I Standards. 11. D rapes must be flexible and conforming. 12. Packs must be sterile. 13. Products must be available to the MTFs through Cardinal Health, the DoD Medical-Surgical Prime Vendor for Regions 6, 7 & 8. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS for OR Custom Packs include, but are not limited to: 1. Packs must meet requirements 1 through 13 for OR Standard Packs. 2. Company must be able to provide Line Item Pricing on Master inventory list. 3. Company must be able to include current regionally standardized products in custom pa cks. 4. Company must be able to implement requested changes in a reasonable turnaround time. 5. Company must be able to provide Management Software onsite for each facility. 6. All products must be Latex Free. 7. Company must be able to provide both O R Standard and Custom Packs. (NOTE: Bulk Drapes and Gowns are now being separated into their own product line and will be standardized separately). If your company currently holds a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) for the Medical-Surgical prod uct line for OR Standard Packs and OR Custom Packs your company is eligible to participate in the standardization effort for this region. If your company is not a current DAPA holder for this product line, you may still be eligible to participate in this s tandardization effort for this region by contacting the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP), Ms. Kim Nichols at (215) 737-7124 or e-mail (Kim.Nichols@dla.mil) to apply for a DAPA. Your company may be considered once DAPA paperwork is pending at DSCP. If your company can provide OR Standard and OR Custom Packs, please forward literature of all items available from your company that meet the product descriptions above and any corresponding product literature no later than September 25, 2006. Those compa nies that do not reply by this date may be eliminated from consideration.
