- PROJECT TITLE: Folsom Bridge Project LOCATION: Folsom, California. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $50,000,000 and $100,000,000. The project is categorized under FSC Y222 and NAICS Code 237310, with a Small Business size standa rd of $31,000,000. ALL TECHNICAL AND PROJECT-RELATED QUESTIONS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED VIA THE PROJ-NET WEBSITE; PROJ-NET ACCESS INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND IN SECTION 00100 OF THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP). TYPE OF PROCUREMENT: The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued on or about 8 September 2006 as an UNRESTRICTED Request For Proposals (RFP) with Trade-Off with any resultant award being a Firm-Fixed-Price construction contract. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE RFP PROCESS. JOB DESCRIPTION: This project is to construct a new roadway connection between Folsom-Auburn Road and East Natoma Street south of the Folsom Dam site. It entails modification and improvements to both interconnecting intersections, the construction of a new approximately 1,000-foot long four-lane vehicular bridge (with Class 1 bicycle/pedestrian lane) and approximately 9,000 feet of new/improved two- and four-lane roadway with a parallel Class 1 bicycle/pedestrian lane/trail. Plans and specifications will not be provided in hard paper copy. The RFP, Amendments and all related documents will be posted on a secure Government website known as FedTeDS. Access to the solicitation documents on the FedTeDS website will be via a hyperlink. The hyperlink will be inserted into the notices for this acquisition posted on both the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/) and the FedBizOpps (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov) once the solicitation is issued. The hyper link will be imbedded in text and will not appear as a website address; in FedBizOpps, you will first click on the blue link titled, 'Technical Data Package (TDP) 01'; once y ou click this link, the next web-page will contain another blue link titled, ' Available online via the FedTeDS (Federal Technical Data Solution) website' (this link will take you directly to the FedTeDS log-in). Viewing/downloading documents from FedTeDS will require prior registration in Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov). If you are a first-time FedTeDS user, you will also be required to register in FedTeDS (www.fedteds.gov) before accessing the solicitation documents. To register, click on th e 'Register with FedTeDS' hyperlink, then select the 'Begin Vendor/Contractor Registration Process' option. The following information will be required: Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN); DUNS Number or CAG E Code; Telephone Number; and E-Mail Address. Once registered with FedTeDS, interested parties will then be able to utilize the posted hyperlink to log in and access the documents. Important Note: The documents can be accessed ONLY by using the hyperlink a vailable on either FBO or ASFI; FedTeDS is not searchable by any other means. Please note that ALL firms who want to access the RFP, both prospective primes and subs, will be required to be registered with FedTeDS and therefore must be CCR-registered, have a MPIN , and either a DUNS number or CAGE code.
