- The U. S. Army TACOM-RDECOM, Picatinny Center for Contracting and Commerce (PC3) in support of the Mortar Fire Control System (Heavy) and Light Hand Held Mortar Fire Ballistic Computer (LHMBC) intends to solicit, negotiate and award a purchase order for a quantity of 2 Toshiba Tecra Computer Laptop computers or other equivalent brand that meets or exceeds the minimum salient characteristics. The Government may also purchase an additional 157 computers, as option items, if it is in the best interest of the Government. This includes a 4 year all inclusive repair warranty. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Proposals to be e-mailed to rphelan@pica.army .mil. Closing date for receipt of proposals is 4:00 p.m. EDT, 05 September 2006. This synopsis/solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under a Combined Synopsis / Solicitation W15QKN-06-T-0004 on an unrestricted basis. Because the combined synopsis/solicitation exceeds the maximum allowable characters, the combined synopsis/solicitation can be downloaded in an attachment at http://procnet.pica.army.mil.
