Description: The US Army Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) is conducting a Market Survey to identify potential sources that currently possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience necessary to meet the DoDs requirement to provide all labor , equipment, supplies, materials, management, office space, and all other services required for the administrative handling and documenting of DOD sponsored Personal Property (PP) coming in on the East and West coast ports of the United States. This will include arranging for the commercial storage utilizing various Non-Temp Storage Transportation Service Providers (TSPs) located on the East and West Coast. They will also arrange for onward movement of containerized PP and process Direct Procurement Meth od (DPM) air retrograde PP arriving on the East and West Coast. They will also be required to operate an automated system to process and place into storage in accordance with various government regulations. This notice does not constitute and Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. The extent of small business participation to this requirement has not been determined. Therefore, participation in this survey may not necessarily result in your company being able to participate in the solicitation. Large and small businesses are encourage d to participate in this survey. All capabilities statements are due to Cathy Keith prior to close of business, 31 August 2006.
