Description
The proposed replacement consoles at MCI ATCT consist of a ring of perimeter consoles and one each center console. The replacement concole components shall be individual units, fastened together, and attached to the ATCT cab floor by government work force considering any leveling required. The components shall have a metal frame and metal doors with a baked enamel finish. The top insert panels shall be solid metal with a baked enamel finish. The consoles will be installed and populated with electronic equipment by various FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) personnel and vendors while the facility remains in full, continuous operation. The basic perimeter consoles shall have a flat-top or turret. The center consoles shall consist of separate base units covered by one continuous desktop and one turret. The consoles shall be of an open design. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
