- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATIN INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATIN; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is EA133W-06-RQ-0882. The National Weather Service, 1 Weather Lane, Gray, Maine intends to purchase the following equipment: (1) 18 ft diameter Spherical, dielectric, solid laminant panel radome with sealant, hardware and installation manual for a TRS Antenna. Radome shall be designed for wind loads up to 150 mph and TL < 0.5 dB at 1680 MHz. . Required unit shall have an outside diameter of 18.0 ft., min Inside Diameter of 17.7 ft., outside height of 15.4 ft, vertical inside height of 15.2 ft., base outside diameter of 12.7 ft., base clearance diameter of 12.5 ft., weight of 1,000 lbs. (1 each). (2) Crating for shipment (1 lot), (3) Lightning protection system (1 each), (4) Personnel access hatch, 36-in diameter opening with cover and latches (1 each), (5) Aircraft warning lights (for 110 VAC power) (1 lot), (6) Zenith Vent with Screen (passive ? always open), including blower system (1 lot), (7) Base Vent with screen (1 each), (8) Impedance Matching for optimal RF transmission in the L band (1 lot), (9) Hydrophobic coating for improved performance in rain (1 lot), (10) Installation at the site in Gray Main. Government to provide crane for lifting radome onto roof or tower and any civil works for radome foundation (1 job), (11) Shipping (1 lot). Required delivery is within 14-16 weeks ARO. F.O.B. Destination National Weather Service, Grey Maine. This is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. In order to comply with the debt collection improvement act of 1966, all contractors must be registered in the central contractor registration (CCR) to be considered for an award of a federal contract. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items. Award will be made to the responsible, responsive offeror whose offer will result in the lowest technically acceptable price, who can best meet the required delivery date and whose unit requires no modifications to the installation site. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items must be submitted with quote.
