Description
The Dayton VA Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole-source contract under the authority of FAR Part 19.14 for a base year with two one-year optional renewal periods. VISN 10, which encompasses the VA Medical Centers in Brecksville, Ohio; Chillicothe, Ohio; Cincinnati, Ohio; Cleveland, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; Dayton, Ohio; and Fort Thomas, Kentucky; and VISN 11, which encompasses the VA Medical Centers in Ann Arbor, Michigan; Battle Creek, Michigan; Danville, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Indianapolis, Indiana; Marion, Indiana; and Saginaw, Michigan has a requirement for Repricing of Health Care Provider Invoices Services. The purpose of the contract is to assist the VA in meeting its economic objective to obtain high quality, accessible health care services at reasonable prices to serve the nation's veterans. When eligible veterans receive their healthcare from providers in the private sector, the contract allows participating VAMCs to share in the savings available through discount agreements. The contractor identifies savings for a variety of health care services including hospitalization, outpatient care, ambulatory surgery, behavioral health, ancillary and other services. The contractor's fee is a percentage of savings on a per-claim basis with no additional fee beyond the percentage of savings. The government has determined that Heritage Health Solutions is the only SDVOSB small business concern capable of satisfying this requirement. If other SDVOSB feel they can meet the needs of the government they should submit their qualifications, capabilities, etc., to the Contracting Officer no later than May 30, 2006. Information submitted will be evaluated with final determination resting with the Contracting Officer. All questions and comments shall be addressed in writing to the Administrative Contracting Officer either by FAX at (937) 268-6511, Extension 3094 or by email at Robert.Ivey@med.va.gov.
