Description
SOW: Demolition and Replacement of existing buildings over inclined screen chambers 1. Contractor will demolish existing buildings (2) approximately 21'6"(w) x 18'3"(d) x 10'(h); dispose of demo materials offsite. 2. Contractor will protect stainless steel inclined screens from damage and be responsible for any damage incurred to the screens. 3. Contractor is advised that both screen chambers will be in operation during demolition and construction. 4. Contractor will rebuild the buildings on top of the existing concrete foundation. 5. Following items to be included for each building: a) Install new heavy duty galvanized 6x6 post mounting brackets at specified locations b) Install new pressure treated 6x6 posts and pressure treated 2x6 girts (24"OC). c) Install new pressure treated trusses, purlin blocks, 2x6 purlins and 2x12 gable end boards (Pitch 4:12). d) Install 26 gauge galvanized/painted steel roof panels with four clear Sun-Tuff brand (or equivalent) panels per roof and trim. e) Install 29 gauge galvanized/painted steel wall panels f) Install 10'x10' sliding entrance door w/hardware, weather hood and trim g) Disconnect and rewire 110v electrical lighting, outlets and 220v wash down pump. 6. The contractor will provide 2 work days for each screen chamber, after the demolition of each building has been completed, for the removal of walkways and supporting timbers associated with the screen chambers to be replaced by hatchery staff. 7. All work in conjunction with this project will comply with the latest edition of the Uniform Building Code, to be constructed in kind matching the existing building configuration except the man door access to be a sliding door and there will be a 2'x 2' hinged and lockable access viewing portal in the roof of each building next to the water control valve.
