- Description
- This project will consists of maintenance dredging to portions of the Norfolk Harbor Channel (Sewells Point to Lamberts Bend) to depths of 51 and 52 feet with 1 foot of allowable overdepth at each respective depth. The work shall be performed by a hy draulic cutterhead dredge and pipeline, with all dredged material transported and placed in the Government-furnished upland placement area at Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area. Potential bidders are informed only one cell of the CIDMMA will be available at a time for use at the upland placement area during this contract. Including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion to November 2006, the project involves dredging approximately 506,200 cubic yards of material. The construction duration is 105 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of construction is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT. NAICS CODE 237990 applies to this procurement. Submission requir ements (plans/specs) will be available on/about 14 September 2006 via http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ (search on W91236% for solicitations issued by Norfolk District). No hard copies will be available. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS, https://www.fedteds.gov) database prior to download of plans and specifications. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract.
