- Project calls for various repairs and/or installments of fire alarms in the airfield control tower at Dyess AFB, Texas. The project is a firm fixed price contract. The procurement will be a Small Business HUBZone Set-Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS Code) is 561621 and the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC Code) is 1731. There is a grand total of one (1) Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN). Work may include but is not necessarily limited to: 1) removing all deteriorated equipment, to include the Simplex fire alarm/voice evacuation fire alarm panel, initiating and indicating devices (including manual pull stations, smoke and heat detectors) wiring, necessary conduit, remote annunciator, and transceiver, 2) install a new addressable fire alarm control panel, addressable pull stations, addressable duct detectors, addressable smoke and heat detectors, voice evacuation panel, transceiver, wiring, conduit, and all necessary equipment and accessories which are capable of mass notification, 3) The program operating system for the newly installed equipment and certification/training for base personnel on operating and repairing the newly installed equipment must be included. The contract will run about forty-five (45) days. It is anticipated that the solicitation (FA4661-06-Q-0007) will be issued electronically on or about 25 August 2006 on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov.
