- The following notice is a Sources Sought. It is the information gathering stage of the market research process. The Government is attempting to find prospective contractors who may be interested in competing for a shredding contract for the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center (PVAMC) and five (5) of its affiliates locations. The PVAMC will use the information gathered from this Sources Sought to determine the availability of commercial paper shredding services in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey Areas, and to also develop the potential bidders list. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, supplies, secured vehicles, materials, supervision and other related supplies and services to provide secure shredding services at six different locations in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Shredding services include, but are not limited to: Providing secure bins for the storage and pick-up of confidential documents prior to shredding, providing on-site shredding at the six locations, transport, shred, and dispose of all material in secure vehicles, and provide the agency with a certificate of destruction. PVAMC wants to acquire secure document shredding and disposal service that provides a high level of confidentiality and prevent unauthorized disclosure of information. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be published in the Federal Business Opportunities website: www.FedBizOpps.gov/ at a future date. Responses to this notice must include the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, and Technical Capabilities to shred paper. Please provide an estimated price to collect, shred on-site, and remove approximately 120,000-160,000 pounds of paper documentation per year. Please respond to the following questions: Does your firm utilize cross-cutting shredders? If so, what size pieces do they cut? Does your firm have vehicles that can commute to our regional locations? Are the vehicles equipped to cross-cut shred approximately 10,000-13,500 pounds of paper monthly? Do you have the ability to furnish containers at various sizes including but not limited to less than 32 gallons and 64 gallons? Is your firm willing to furnish approximately 100-140 consoles and five (5) totters for use by the Government at no cost Does your business have a GSA contract for shredding services? Please provide GSA contract number and expiration date. Is your business a Large or Small business? Interested parties responding to this Request for Information / Sources Sought Notice shall submit all information and responses to the following point of contact : Peter T.
