- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Fogarty International Center (FIC) intends to procure the services of Jessica Seidman. The contractor will serve as a research assistant and will assist in assessing and measuring the contribution of infectious diarrhea to mortality, malnutrition, impaired gut functionality, and the bioavailability of pharmaceuticals in the presence of abnormal mucosa. The contractor will also assist in the programmatic and administrative management of the overall project and studies related to other vaccine development. The Institute intends to obtain this service by other than full and open competition from Jessica Seidman. Interested vendors may identify in writing their interest with a capability statement to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NIDDK-06-943 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is September 20, 2006. Request for copies of the RFQ must be in writing to the National Institutes of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, 6707 Democracy Blvd., Room 775, Bethesda, MD 20817 Attention: Patricia Haun.
