Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subparts 12.6 and 13.5. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation for this requirement; quotes are being requested and an additional solicitation will not be issued. The socilitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-12. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code associated with this purchase is 339111, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is a small business set aside. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires two consolidated sterilizers and 12 rolls of box printer paper. The sterilizers must meet the following specifications: (1) 24x24x36 direct sterm heated gravity sterilizer; (2) CRT Display and sealed keypad; (3) Alphanumeric Impact Printer with take up spool; (4) Automatic condensate exhaust and electrical surge protection for controls; (5) rack with removable shelves; (6) controls - 110 Volts, single phase; (7) stainless steel cabinet mounted; (8) clean room adaptability (flanging, enclosure and installation); (9) 1/2" thermocouple port; (10) inner chamber designed to withstand operatio full vacuum to 40 psig; and (11) some parts must be able to be purchased at local plumbing suppliers to minimize downtime. Additionally, the vendor must remove the existing sterilizer at no additional charge. The following FAR clauses and provisions are applicable to this procurement: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items, 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial items, 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Ccommercial Items. The following FAR clauses in paragraph (b) of FAR 52.212-5 will apply to this procurement 52.222-3, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-13, 52.232-33.
