- Work under this project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, material and incidentals necessary for the renovations of one home, in accordance with regulations issued under the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Home Improvement Program. Due to this project being a private home, not a public dwelling, the Davis-Bacon and Miller Act, does not apply. Project locations is in Pawnee, Oklahoma. The estimated cost of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Bid packages will available on Friday, August 18, 2006. Parties interested in submitting a bid may request a bid package in writing, by telephone or fax from the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Branch of Contracts, P.O. Box 368, Anadarko, OK 73005, telephone no. (405) 247-1575/1591 or fax no. (405) 247-9922. Bid opening will be at 10:00 a.m. (CST) on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, in the Branch of Contracts, Southern Plains Regional Office, 1 Mile North of City, Hwy 281, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Section 7(b) of the Public Law 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450e) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaskan individuals and that preference in the award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaskan economic enterprises. Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to receiving contracts from the federal government. This is a full and open competition acquisition and is set-aside for small business.
