Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: This is a Source Sought Synopsis announcement; a market survey for information only, to be used for prelimianry planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE. ALL INFORMATION MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA EMAIL OR FAX. OBJECTIVE: The Air Force Health Facilities Division is responsible to the Air Force/Surgeon General as the program manager for initial outfitting of new and renovated medical facilities. Additionally, the Division is responsible to the Major Commands (MA JCOMs) and the Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) to provide guidance and direction for all aspects of initial outfitting. With the increase in Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) responsibilities, our personnel deployment requirements, and resuction in authorizations, the Division must use contracted force enhancers to meet our mission. This contract is to provide such force enhancement through contracted services. The contracted services that we are looking to procure are from qualified national furni ture manufacturers. The objective is to have a contractor provide turn key services to provide furniture, casegoods and furnishings for seventy-seven MTFs world-wide. These services must include cradle to grave project management services, design service s, procurement of furniture and medical/clinical casegoods, warehousing capabilities, installation, inventory, warranty services and training on all new equipment/furniture. The requirements would be based on a Comprehensive Interior Design package that a n Architect-Engineering firm would provide. The products required includes (1) Furniture (2) Systems Furniture (3) Medical Casegoods (4) Artwork (including framing and installation). The following are questions/concerns of the Government: (1) The contract should be world wide with no division between U.S. Regions and overseas. (2) The Government would like to have the flexibility to include furniture layout design services if we need them as we will not always be able to give them a CID. Sometimes it will just be a floor plan and a finish design (SID). (3) The Government would like to have the option to reconfigure, restore or replace existing furniture components. (4) The Government would want the ability to trade in existing furniture for credit. (5) Vendors would be responsible for providing training on all new equipment. (6) The Government would like industry input as to the best way to make this turn-key operation work. (7) The Government would like industry to suggest ways to issue a single task order for a mixture of furniture without running up against the barrier of dealer exclusive relationships. Faxed responses to this request are preferred and should be sent to Fax Number (817) 886-6403, ATTN: Diana Pickel. Any email response to this request should be sent to diana.pickel@swf02.usace.army.mil.
