Description
This is a sources-sought notice and does not constitute a solicitation for proposal. The US Army Office of the Project Manager Close Combat Systems (OPMCCS) is currently seeking sources to complete a requirement to produce and deliver L96A1/A2 and L97A1/A2 anti-riot grenades. This would include purchasing of all packaging material to include the M2A1 ammo can. A base contract (FY07) plus 4 option years with ranges (estimated quantities between 1000 and 47,000 per year) is envisioned. The grenades will be built to a Government Furnished Drawing Package. The L96A1/A2 is a 66mm grenade filled with 23 pellets of CS compound(tear gas). The L97A1/A2, a training version of the L96A1/A2, uses a cinnamic acid smoke to simulate CS. Interested companies which believe they can meet the above requirements shall provide the US Army a brief summary of their company's capabilities. Responses should identify your current Business Structure: a. Name of Company ??? include a contact person's name, company address, telephone number, email address. b. Company Size (please specify as either Large, Foreign, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone concern, Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business.)Identify current major manufacturing processes, critical skills and equipment, current production capabilities (should include your maximum production rate attainable, minimum sustaining rate and estimated production lead times). Identify your organization's Facilities, Equipment, Unique Capabilities, Environmental Concerns, Storage, Shipping, Receiving and other Support Functions. The information must be submitted within 30 calendar days from the date of this publication to: US Army TACOM- ARDEC, AMSTA-AQ-APA, ATTN: Jacki Dyda, Building 10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806 E-mail: jdyda@pica.army.mil. This Sources Sought Notice is for planning purposes only and should not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the US Government. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market durvey or otherwise pay for information solicited. Please identify any proprietary information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the survey.
