Description
Provide primary care physicians to support the SRP (Soldier Readiness Processing) mission for the U. S. Army Medical Department Activity (USA MEDDAC), Fort Knox, KY, including installations within the Fort Knox Health Service Area. Specifically, the Contractor shall furnish ancillary personnel to support the pre-deployment, deployment, redeployment, mobilization and demobilization operations at Camp Atterbury, IN and Fort McCoy, WI., during the period of 1 November 2006 through 31 October 2007 with 4 one-year option periods. These are temporary personnel requirements, GWOT-funded (Global War on Terrorism) to fulfill deployment missions. The primary care physicians shall provide services in conjunction with other contract and government Healthcare Providers (HCP), to include medical officers, nurse practitioners, and paraprofessional clinical personnel. Contract personnel shall perform ser vices of a nature and scope described herein in accordance with currently recognized national standards as established by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the American Medical Association and established principles and ethics of the medical profession. Contract personnel shall abide by the medical treatment facilitys (MTF) rules, regulations and bylaws, including the Medical Staff Bylaws as well as applicable Army regulations. The award of any contract issued as a result of the solicitation will be made to the lowest-priced, responsive, responsible, offeror after verification of valid Federal Supply Schedule. Qualified candidates will be submitted for review and approval by th e MEDDAC Commander after award. This requirement is 100% set-aside for businesses with a valid Federal Supply Schedule under SIN 621-001 Professional and Allied Healthcare Staffing Services to include Primary Care Physician, NAICS 561320, with a size sta ndard of $12.5M, applies to this requirement. The solicitation will be issued on or about 25 August 2006 with quotes due on or about 10 August 2006. The solicitation will be posted on the Fort Knox homepage website at http://doc.knox.army.mil on or abou t 15 September 2006. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. All amendments to the solicitation will be likewise posted to this website. Contractors are cautioned to check this website for amendments. No solicitation mailing list will be co mpiled.
