- Description
- The NETCOM/9th Army Signal Command has a requirement for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for Rock Island Arsenal. The proposed contract is for a base year with four one-year options. The local exchange services provider, certified by the state of Ilinois, shall provide local commercial communications service for Rock Island Arsenal, which shall include, as a minimum but not limited to, local access for commercial subscriber lines, digital access trunks, local exchange digi tal (ISDN PRI) trunks, transport channels, and directory number and number portability. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Sources responding to this requirement must indicate in writing, whether they are a large, small , disadvantaged and /or women-owned business. For this acquisition, a concern will be considered small under SIC code 4813 with size standard of 1500 employees NAICS 517110. This requirement shall be a commercial, fixed price type contract. Solicitat ion is anticipated to be released on or about 17 Aug 06. The solicitation can be viewed and downloaded from the Army Single Face to Industry(ASFI) Acquisition Business Website. The Government will conduct a preproposal conference a nd site visit on 31 Aug, 2006 at Rock Island Arsenal, located, Whittmore Conference Room, Bldg 103, 3rd floor, Rock Island Arsenal, IL. It is recommended that prospective offerors attend this conference. The conference will be from 9:30 10:30 AM (appro ximately) and will be followed by a site visit from 10:30-11:30 AM. Offerors planning to attend are required to notify the specialist listed below, in writing, of all attendees names (not to exceed three per company, prior to 24 Aug 06. An e-mail respo nse to basecom@netcom.army.mil is acceptable. Questions prior to the conference must be received before 24 Aug 06. Questions generated as a result of the preproposal conference must be sent to basecom@netcom.army.mil, by 14 Sep 06. Written responses to offeror-generated questions will be provided to all Offerors.
