Description
The 311th Human Systems Wing/PKBA, Brooks City-Base TX, intends to award a Sole Source Purchase Order to the University of Texas Health Science Center, 77036 Floyd Curl Drive, San Antonio TX 78229-3900. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for professional services prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporate provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-09 (19 Apr 2006) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement change notice 20060412. It is the offeror?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition is for consultation services/supplies for the mandatory and specialized training of 50 Air Force Mental Health Providers. Members will attend a two 3-day training workshop. The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is a congressionally mandated program intended to prevent and reduce the incidence of family violence. FAP is a medical program that enhances Air Force readiness by promoting family and community health and resilience. These objectives are accomplished through the use of broad-based education and awareness activities along with the identification and treatment of family maltreatment incidents. These services prevent family maltreatment from reducing the duty performance of Air Force members. Education and training to key personnel on policy and effective measures to alleviate problems associated with child and spouse maltreatment. The NAICS Code is 611310; size standard $6.5 million. The type of contract anticipated is firm-fixed price. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
