Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT (SMALL BUSINESS) REQUEST ONLY. The VISN 9 Acquisition Service Center (90C), Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES with the capability of providing Clinical Consultant Services at the Charleston VET Center, Charleston, WV 25302 for a base year period of October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007. VHA qualified (psychologist, psychiatrist, clinical social worker, or clinical nurse specialist in psychiatrist) individual to provide clinical consultation and case review to the staff of the Charleston, WV Vet Center for a minimum of 4 hours per month. Provide clinical knowledge and expertise in treating combat Post-Traumatic-Stress-disorder, sexual trauma, depression, substance abuse, and general psychiatric problems for the veteran population. The consultant will staff cases with master level therapists and social workers demonstrating knowledge of individual and group treatments, medications, crisis interventions for suicidal and homicidal clients, diagnostic problems, and case management techniques. The consultant will meet with the staff for 4 hours per month at the Vet Center in Charleston, WV. The consultant will serve as a staff consultant for team conflicts and provide in-service training on team building as well as clinical training needs. The clinical consultant will also staff the clinical cases in the contract counseling program based at the Charleston, WV Vet Center office and advise proper case management for those cases insuring quality care. Documentation of the consultation activities shall take the form of a progress note in the client's chart in DAP format. The note shall include a description of case review activities, a summary of salient features of the client's history, diagnosis/problems/needs which were uncovered during the case review and a list of specific short term and long term treatment recommendations. The progress note should be signed by the external clinical consultant and all Vet center staff who attended the consultation session. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT (SMALL BUSINESS) REQUEST ONLY.
