Description
The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Sierra Scientific Instruments, Inc. for a ManoScan 360? System, supplies, related accessories, and services for the VAMC Madison, located in Madison, WI. In addition, the procurement will include the trade-in of existing VAMC Madison Manometry System. To the best of our knowledge the ManoScan 360? System is the only system which will meet the needs of the facility and provides catheter design that consists of 36 circumferential pressure elements with 12 linear pressure contacts placed radially on each element. In addition, 432 pressure inputs are captured simultaneously by software that provides real time display of simultaneous in a continuous color image with pressure changes indicated by color change. During data acquisition and post-procedure the display can be toggled between high-resolution images and pressure waveform displays in up to 36 distinct channels. Software has static and playback modes for simulating real time acquisition post procedure and virtual catheter pull through capabilities in waveform depiction mode during static display. The system also provides simultaneous continuous circumferential pressure capture over 36cm length on catheter provides 9 times the pressure waveform data captured with conventional 4 channel waveform point-based Manometry systems of all other manufacturers. Average procedure time is 10 minutes with ManoScan 360? and is FDA approved. Traditional point based systems require 45-90 minutes to perform 4 channel studies. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 334510 This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored.
