- The Government intends to procure commercial item services under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 15, Contract by Negotiations for home medical equipment services. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. The awarded contractor is required to store Government-owned home medical equipment, deliver, set-up, instruct patients, inventory, manage, maintain equipment, and pick-up that equipment as necessary. Services are required for the VA West Los Angeles, CA, VA Long Beach, CA, VA San Diego, CA, VA Southern Nevada (Las Vegas), and VA Loma Linda, CA Healthcare Systems. The contract shall be for a base year, with the Government?s option to exercise three (3) one (1) year option periods. The solicitation will be available for issue on or about August 24, 2006, with offers due on or about September 22, 2006.
