Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, North Carolina (DVAMC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with PEVCO Systems International, Inc of Baltimore, MD to Upgrade Quantum Industries Stations and Port Diverters. Previous history indicates PEVCO is the only source for the proprietary hardware and software that operates this equipment. No other company can interface with this Quantum equipment. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents is available and telephone request will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to Department of Veterans Affairs; Contracting Officer (90C), Attn: Helen B. Warren, Bldg. #3, Room 209; 508 Fulton Street; Durham, NC 27705 or via fax to 919-286-6816. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received the VAMC Durham will proceed with the sole source negotiation with PEVCO Systems International. NAICS 334411.
