Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport has a requirement to purchase Vertical Launch System (VLS) Ballast Can Pads to be manufactured in accordance with Government Specifications. The required quantities are as follows: Basic Qty: 1,320; Option I Qty: 288; Option II Qty: 288; Option III Qty: 288; Option IV Qty: 360. The basic quantities are due within 4 months after contract award and the Option quantities are due 2months after exercise of the Option. To receive drawings, vendors must be certified under the U.S./Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP). The solicitation is expected to be released on or about 08/25/06. A firm fixed price type contract is anticipated. Award will be made on a ?Best Value? basis. Technical Factors are Technical Capability, Past Performance and Cost. Required delivery: F.O.B. Destination: Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business. NAICS: 332710 Size Standard: 500 employees.
