- Description
- This solicitation is set-aside for HUBZone Small Businesses. The work consists of constructing improvements to the existing Keller community water system on the Colville Indian Reservation, Ferry County, Washington. The project includes construction of approximately: 3,774 LF of PVC 8-inch water main, 300 LF of HDPE 8-inch water main, 215 LF of horizontal directional drilling, 4 EA of 8-inch gate valves, 3 EA of connections to existing water system, 280 SF of asphalt resurfacing, 1 EA of abandonment of a pressure reducing vault, 1 EA of 175,000-gallon water reservoir with 1,100 LF of gravel access road and all necessary appurtenances for a complete and operational system. The final quantities will be dependent on the outcome of the horizontal directional drilling work and that work that will be located on the far side of the directional drilling. The anticipated contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. The performance period is approximately 100 calendar days. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $500,000. Performance and payment bonds are required. Liquidated damages apply. The Buy American Act applies. Indian preference in hiring suppliers and subcontractors is required including meeting Colville Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) requirements. Solicitation documents will be available on or about April 14, 2006, and will be available in paper format only. Requests for the solicitation or plan holder list must be in writing.
