Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue a solicitation RFQ50020-003-06 for the provision of Generator Maintenance for the South Central Regional Office/Federal Correctional Institution Ft. Worth, Texas. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and supervision as required to perform scheduled maintenance and testing on the following, emergency generators located at the FCI Ft. Worth 3150 Horton Rd, Ft. Worth. There are (2)-1750 KW Caterpillar, (1)-600 KW Caterpillar, (1)-1000 KW Detroit and (2)-1000 KW Cummins for a total of 6 generators. All maintenance and testing shall comply with National Fire Protection Association 110, National Electrical Code, and manufacturer’s recommendations in maintaining stand-by generators. The maintenance will be scheduled monthly and annual. The maintenance will include but is not limited to the following: Monthly Maintenance: Visual Inspection, Fuel System, Cooling System, Air Induction and Exhaust System, Lube Oil System, Starting System, Engine Monitors and Safety Controls, Control Panel. Annual Maintenance: Fuel System, Lube Oil System, Air Induction, Engine Monitors and Safety Controls, Generator, Control Panel, Transfer Switch Interior Wiring Components, Load Bank Testing, Fluid Sampling. The contract period shall consist of one 12-month base year and four 12- month option periods for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. The solicitation will be available on or about August 01, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov . The site provides downloading instructions. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must register at www.ccr.gov. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is 2:00 P.M. CT August 30, 2006 however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to the solicitation (1449 -Block #08) for the actual date quotations are due. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quote which will be considered.
