- Description
- Arnold AFB, TN has a requirement to remove existing indoor unit substation #9 and the replacement with new electrical gear consisting of a 15kV Vacuum Breaker located inside the existing electrical room, a new cast-coil transformer and main secondary circuit breaker located outdoors, and a low-voltage switchgear section. All secondary feeders fed from unit substation #9, with the exception of the feeders to MCC-6A, will be replaced under the scope of this project. 480V distribution panelboard PJ3-2 will also be replaced as part of this substation replacement. In addition this Project will provide electrical safety modifications to Building 880 electrical room and structural modifications to the existing Bleed Stack to allow the installation of new unit substation inside the existing bleed stack area. Lighting modifications will be made to the existing electrical room to increase room visibility and emergency lighting needs. This existing substation is located on the lower level of building 880 in the electrical room. The estimated construction magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. The period of performance shall be 150 calendar days after notice to proceed. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (18-MAY-2006).
