- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Division intends to solicit on a small business set-aside basis for removal of old CAT3 cabling and installation of new CAT6 cabling, termination, testing, labeling, and providing as?built drawings in support of Rickover Hall, U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD. The proposed period of performance will consist of sixty (60) days from the effective date of the purchase order. Request for Quotation N00140-06-Q-2785 contemplates a Firm Fixed--type purchase order. The RFQ will be awarded based on the following evaluation factors of past performance and price with past performance being more important than price. This announcement constitutes the only notice; a quote is being requested after a site visit is conducted. The procurement is being processed in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and FAR Subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code is 238210 with a size standard of $13 million. All qualified sources are encouraged to submit quotes for consideration of the Government. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database. It is the intention of the Navy to issue this RFQ through electronic means only. All requests for quotation should be received by the Government within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis. The Government will not pay for information received.
