Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Trilectron Industries, Palmetto, FL for seven (7) Wye Duct Adapters, P/N FI5916, for site-stand-up at VMGR-152 (Okinawa, Japan). The adapters are used to direct air flow from the air conditioner cart to the flight station and to the cargo compartment of the KC-130J aircraft. P/N FI5916 has three male connectors (P/N 64C1004/SAE AS38386/1) which fit the hose assembly female connectors, (P/N 64C1005/SAE AS38386/2). The Y-adapter must have a butterfly valve adjustment, so the air flow can be re-directed between the two 8" outlets, and needs to be coated with insulated material to prevent cooling losses. The proposed acquisition is for Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) for which the Government does not own drawings or specification. Trilectron Industries holds the technical drawings, specifications, and data rights to manufacture the support equipment. NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. ****POC - Tammy Corti 732-323-7565**** See note 22.
