- Description
- The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to award a contract on a non-competitive basis two (2) each of the following: TSI Model 3321 Aerodynamic Particle Sizer Spectrometer including Aerosol Instrument Manager Software and TSI Model 3302A Aerosol Diluter for exclusive use with the Model 3321 Particle Sizer". The anticipated award will be made under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, to TSI, Inc., 500 Cardigan Road, Sho review, MN 55126. The TSI Model 3321 Aerodynamic Particle Sizer" provides high-resolution, real-time aerodynamic measurements of particles from 0.6 to 20?m. It also measures light-scattering intensity in the opitical size range of 0.37 to 20?m. Characterizing particle size is an essential component of infections disease aerobiology. The Aerodynamic Particle Sizer" uses a patented double-crest optical system for sizing accuracy. The acquiring activity is using an existing TSI Model 3321 and has been integrated into a automated aerosol control system. Use of a different model or a product from a different vendor would require complete reengineering and reprogramming of the control system resulting in delays and additional development costs.
