- Description
- Solicitation is for the repair of the Paladin Automatic Fire Control System DU and PCU components. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the autho rity of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proosals. However, all proposals received within 45 days after dat e of publication of this synopsis will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notic is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procuremenet. Award will be made only if the offeror, the service or manufacturer meets the qualification requirement at time of award, in accordance with FAR 52.209-1 or 5 2.209-2. The solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the fo llowing address via the Internet: http://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. The solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Interested parties may obtain copies of Military and Federal Specifications and Standards, Qualified Product Lists, Military Handbooks, and other standardization documents from the DOD Single Stock Point (DOCSSP) in Philadelphia, PA. Most documents are abailable in Adobe PDF format from the ASSIS database via the Internet at http://asist.daps.mil/. Users may search for documents using the ASSIS-Quick Search and in most cases, download the documents directly via the Internet using sta ndard browser software. Documents not available for downloading from ASSIST can be ordered from the DODSSP using the ASSIST Shopping Wizard, after establishing a DODSSP Customer Account by following the registration procedures or by phoning the DODSSP Spe cial Assistance Desk at (215) 697-2179.
