Seal, Metallic, Aircr SOL FA8104-06-.Q-0377 Item 0001 NSN: 2840-01-159-9630RV, P/N: 570621. Item Description: The 4th stage outer seal is a ring shaped metal outer seal which consists of ams 5671 nickel alloy. It is to provide a sealing surface for the knife edge seals on the outer shroud of the 4th stage turbine blades, preventing exhaust gas from escaping around the blade tips. Dimensions are as follows: 35.880 inches in diameter, 1.4 inches wide, and 35.020 inches in diameter. Applicable to: TF33 Engine Delivery: 28 February 2007 Quantity: 3 EA New Material Solicited. New/Unused Surplus will also be considered. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 10 August 2006. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 1 September 2006. The anticipated award date will be 30 September 2006. No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. The solicitation will be available for download only at www.fbo.gov. It is anticipated that this requirement will be set aside for small businesses. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
