THIS POSTING IS BEING ACCOMPLISHED ONLY SO THAT A CANCELLATION NOTICE MAY BE CREATED. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT BEING POSTED TO ADVERTISE A FORTHCOMING SOLICITATION.***** The 47th Contracting Squadron at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas will be requesting proposals for the repair/replacement of approximately 45,000 square yards of concrete parking pad (six (6) apron rows). The performance area is Laughlin Air Force Base. The performance period for this proposed contract is estimated to be 345 days. The proposed contract will consist of, but not limited to, the following: surrounding the area with debris barriers, removing the existing pavement and base material, stabilizing the sub-grade, adding new base material, pouring new concrete, adding tie downs and grounding rods, and painting taxiway markings. This will be a multiphase project due to aircraft parking demands. All work is to be done on an active airfield where student pilots train. All work is to be accomplished in established free zones in coordination with the user. The estimated price range of this requirement is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237310 and size standard is $31,000,000.00. This negotiated procurement will be accomplished by the Best Value Source Selection Method under full and open competition procedures. The Solicitation package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be available for downloading from the Internet on the Federal Business Opportunities (Fed Biz Opps) Website at address: www.eps.gov on or about 15 Jul 06. No hard copies will be provided. The closing date is tentatively scheduled for on or about 14 Aug 06. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract and must have complied with the VETS 100 reporting requirement. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. CCR can be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or through the Internet address: www.ccr.gov.
