- DESCRIPTION: Perform Vegetative Fuel Load Reduction at Specified Locations within Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Areas. Project objective is to reduce high fire hazard in WUI areas by creating a more defensible management zone at the boundary between private property and National Forest land. LOCATION: Work will be performed on 438.62 acres in 95 areas within the administrative boundaries of the Sabine National Forest, Sabine County, National Forests & Grasslands in Texas. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Contract time will be 120 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. SITE VISIT: Formal site visit will be held August 18, 2006, 2 p.m. CST, at the Sabine Ranger District Office, 201 South Palm, Hemphill, TX 75948. Office phone number is: (866) 235-1750. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry prior to award of a contract. Registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. Due to fiscal year end timeframes, failure to be registered in CCR by the due date of proposals may result in a proposal being removed from consideration for award. SET-ASIDE: 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. NAICS code is 115310 with a Size Standard of $6.5 million.
