- NASA/KSC has a requirement for the following: Terminal Blocks J3 qty 15000, L3 qty 1500, JD3 qty 10000, J10 qty 1000, J16 qty 1000, J35 qty 1000, J70 qty 1000, J2 red qty 200, J3 black qty 200, J3 white qty 200, J10 red qty 200, J10 black qty 200, J10 white qty 200, J16 red qty 200, J16 black qty 200, L3 white qty 200 and end barriers: J16 qty 100, J3 qty 1500, L3 qty 1500, and end anchor L35 qty 2500. NASA/KSC intends to purchase these items from Allen-Bradley out of Milwaukee, WI, in accordance with the statutory authority U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This is a sole-source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Allen-Bradley has been identified as the only known responsible source to complete the requirement based on compatibility with existing equipment already in use at the Kennedy Space Center. The Government intends to acquire these commercial items using FAR Part 12. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort by fax or email to Ms. Regina Clifton not later than 4:00 p.m. local time on Friday, August 11, 2006. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
