Description

THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODIFICATION IS TO CHANGE THE CLASSIFICATION CODE TO 41 (REFRIGERATION, AIR CONDITIONING, AND AIR CIRCULATING EQUIPMENT) AND TO CHANGE THE APPROXIMATE DATE FOR POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION TO AUGUST 10, 2006. The work includes the following features: Provide eleven (11) air handling units plus associated equipment, all as described in the Solicitation and associated drawings, to replace the following Trane Torrivent Units: 1. Eight (8) Model T-31V units -vertically inverted floor mounted with front horizontal discharge. 2. Two (2) T-31 units -vertically floor mounted with back vertical discharge. 3. One (1) T-25 unit -vertically floor mounted with back vertical discharge. Equipment will be installed by the Government. Prospective vendors should refer to the Solicitation for a complete description of the equipment and of the vendor responsibilities. The work is located at the Glen Canyon Dam located at Page, Arizona, in Coconino County. The work will be performed under the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 333415-Air Conditioning & Warm Air Heating Equipment & Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing. A separate Solicitation will be posted on FEDBIZOPPS approximately AUGUST 10, 2006 and is expected to be in accordance with the commercial item test program of FAR Part 13.5. Prospective vendors should contact Jim Mahaffey (928)-645-0455 to make arrangements to visit the site for the purpose of verifying information on the existing units and to take necessary measurements for the replacement units. Department of the Interior has directed the use of Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as the single validated source on vendors doing business with the Government. Prospective vendors must register with CCR. Information, Central Contractor Registration Handbook and the registration process can be obtained via the CCR web site, http://www.ccr.gov.
