DESCRIPTION/ SPECIFICATIONS/WORK STATEMENT C.1. Scope of Contract The solicitation is for tree thinning and release on the Carson Ranger District, Humboldt - Toiyabe National Forest Land. This contract requires tree thinning and release, slash treatment and related work in compliance with terms, specifications, and provisions. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary on the areas specified. All aspects of the work program shall be performed in an organized, systematic manner to assure services will be performed over the entire unit. C. 2 Location and Description The location of the work site is located in Dog Valley/Long Valley California which is North West of Verdi Nevada, (T20N, R17E, Sections 1,2,35, and 36) on the Humboldt ? Toiyabe National Forest, Carson Ranger District. Directions to Unit 1 are: from Reno take US 395 to the Bordertown Exit. Turn left over the highway and then right towards the Bordertown Casino. Go straight, through the stop sign and follow the road through a hairpin turn to the left and proceed to the Forest Boundary. Unit #1 is accessed by the Purdy Creek road.(unmarked ) Directions to Unit 2 and 3 are: From Reno take Interstate 80 west to the Verdi Exit (Exit #5). In Verdi, turn right on Bridge Street and right on Dog Valley Road and then drive west about 1.5 miles to the 074 road. The unit #2 is on the south side of the 002 and 074 roads intersection. Just beyond the 074 road, the 027 road turns to the west. Unit #3 is on the south side of the road. Please refer to the vicinity map and/or the project maps. Units are designated with orange flagging.
